Ox Roast-Lancaster, PA
We had a great time eating family style at the Witmer Fire Company's yearly Ox Roast. We helped the fire department to purchase their new fire truck, which you can see in the background ,by participating in the Ox Roast. We stayed overnight at a local hotel and met in the lobby for a time of fun, games and conversation. In the morning we went for a ride through Amish country
and through several covered bridges that are still in use today.
We found that our patches really made a statement when we were out and about. Someone would stop and ask about our ministry and wanted more information about upcoming events. What a great way to witness to other riders.
If you couldn't join us this year please keep your calendar open for next year.
Ohio Bike Rally
Harrison Hills Church first bike rally was an overwhelming success. We arrived in Cadiz, Ohio Saturday at 7:30pm and met with other members of ASR at Di Angelos Pizzeria. Pastor Denney and his wife Pam welcomed us to Ohio and introduced us to several members of their church, who extended their welcome by opening their homes to us for our two day stay. What a wonderful family of God.
There were many prizes and awards presented after the service and enormous buffet lunch. Our President, David Mikus Sr won a prize from the drawing and the Best Touring Bike Award was presented to Extor Diaz of NJ by Richard Medley!! Hooray!
Afterwards we prepared for our 65 mile ride with a blessing from Pastor Denney for all the bikes and bikers. What a wonderful and beautiful day God gave us.

January/February/March 2010
A new year has started and our calendar is packed with lots of events and things
to do. We are so excited about having you join us on our rides such as the Ox Roast in PA, Dessert Runs, Breakfast Runs, Lewes-Cape May Ferry Run.
We will be ordering yellow T-shirts that will compliment our patch so that we will be recognized not just by our relationship with God but by our colors as well when we ride together . It will cause people to take a second look and allow us to witness to them by reading the message that is on our patches. Knowing we are planting many more seeds for God to water and bring the increase.
Rev. Anthony Elliott Sr held the District Rally at his church in Millville. During the service Rev Elliott resigned his position as Vice President of the South Jersey Chapter. He held this position since 2006 and was one of the founders of our chapter. He passed the mantle to Robert Klages, which according to our bylaws, was the most eligible nominee to replace him for the position.
Robert Klages was offered the position at a special session and accepted the responsibility of this new office. He once held the position of Secretary/Treasurer from the beginning of the inception of our chapter until the annual chapter meeting in 2009.
Rev Elliott will still continue to be a member and support our chapter in anyway that he can. He is very involved in his new ministry as Pastor of a church. We know God will bless him and his new congregation as they grow and reach out to souls.
On April 23 we will be riding to Lancaster PA for an overnight trip. On the 24th at 12 pm we will be at the Witmer Fire Assn Ox Roast which is held every year. If you can make it I know you will have a great time. Well that's all folks until next time! God bless!!
April/May/June 2009
Bikers Sunday
We started off our first Bikers Sunday with Bro Wynn at Cornerstone CLC in Landisville

What a great time of fellowship! We gathered together in the name of Jesus and shared the love of the Lord with those that didn't know Jesus or who wanted to know more.

In May we had our second Bikers Sunday at Apostles Doctrine Church and even though it rained it didn't dampen the spirit of God! The music was great and the food was terrific both spiritual and earthly.
Bikers Sunday Outreach
We had an outreach in Central Jersey at Bro Postells
Souls Harbor Church
Thank you Bro Bob Klages for this flag that you had made for our chapter photo!

Thank you Bro and Sis Postell for allowing us to come and for ministering to us!
God will bless and bring the increase!
Yes!! Bro Bob really does have a wife!!!
Merrilee is a wonderful sister in the Lord!
God bless you for opening up your home
for us to spend the night and feeding us as well.

VFW Spaghetti Dinner
ASR members supported the VFW by attending their spaghetti dinner at Rte 50 in Mays Landing, NJ. We had a great time of fellowship and camaraderie.
The VFW supports Azuza StreetRiders and Apostles' Doctrine Church not only in donations but in the use of their facilities. We hope to continue learning from the life experience of those that fought for our country in the past as well as those that continue to fight for our freedom in the future.
In this months meeting, Extor Diaz-Road Captain, covered safety guidelines. What we need to do when riding together as a group and hand signals that are to be used. We want everyone to use the same signals so that there is no misunderstanding while on the ride. Every person that rides with ASR of NJ must sign a liability waiver prior to riding and must learn the hand signals. A copy will be provided to everyone and a signed copy must be returned in order to participate in upcoming events.
February 2009
Valentine's Day Meeting
We had a great meeting and have made plans to improve our general membership monthly meetings. There was a great response to our new website and a new fire that has engulfed our spirit to reach out and bring in souls to the truth that we know and the scriptures tells us about. We truly believe that this is the year that we will see our ministry increase in members and souls saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;...Matthew 24:14

Don't forget to wear your backpatch. It's a great witnessing tool!
We will be starting Bikers Sunday on April 26th and it will be held at Rev Gary Wynn's church at 321 W Flower St, Landisville, NJ and on May 3 at Rev Tim Getting's church, "Apostles Doctrine", at the VFW in Mays Landing on Rte 50.
I found this video on the Azuza StreetRiders website about how the First Pentecostal Church in Jackson, MS hosts a "Biker Sunday". I think you will enjoy it and get some great ideas on hosting a "Bikers Sunday".
Pause the music at the bottom of screen so you can hear the video.
January 2009
Family Luncheon
We had our monthly meeting on January 17 at the home of Artie and Debbie in Wildwood. We started out with a great buffet of home cooked food which was then followed by our meeting.
Sorry, no brave souls road their bikes to this meeting. Not at 9 degrees! However, that didn’t seem to stop the Polar Bear Club from jumping into the ocean this year.
Thank you for a great time of fellowship!!!
December
Gift Run Dec 25, 2008
Our monthly meeting was on December 13 at
9:15 am and some brave souls actually rode their motorcycle to the meeting. (Boy! It sure was cold ). When the meeting was over we went to breakfast and then returned to the church to wrap
presents for our Gift Run on December 25. Yep!
That’s right Christmas day.
When we arrived at the shelter in Vineland on Christmas Day, the children could be seen with their faces pressed against the window, watching as Santa and his helpers arrived on their motorcycles. The response was overwhelming and it was great to see all the smiling faces of the children, women and men as they received their gifts. We ended the gift giving with a circle of prayer and I could imagine hearing the angels rejoicing as these souls reached out.
When prayer was done we gave a newsletter to the adults, with a list of all the churches that support Azuza StreetRiders, letting them know we would continue to pray for them.
We need to be prepared for the calls of help that may come our way. These souls need a lot of love and encouragement so they will know that God has not forsaken them in their hour of need.
